Bride Seats

This post is basically for the people who are interested in replacing their seats.

After trying the Bride Zeta II seat, I decided to upgrade to it from my Corbeau Pro Sport.

Most top-of-the-line brand name seats such as Recaro, Bride, or Corbeau actually feel very similar, the marginal difference depends on your body. The bride seat fits me better since I am a skinny guy. If I were a bit fatter, the Pro Sport would provide sufficient bolster support.

It's kind of good that I can reuse my Corbeau seat bracket for the Bride seat.

The next thing I will upgrade is the steering wheel... Going to get a 11" Momo wheel to make the steering feel less numb.

bride seats are fairly costly.

are you sure you want such discomfort when you drive? i've sat in a few and MAN are they really stiff. the plus part is that you don't move anywhere where ever you drive.

imagine the pain in your back driving with those seats in l.a. traffic all the time. :drinking:

Forewarning, Corbeau brackets will NOT work. At least, they do not work with my Zeta III. Just wanted to give you a heads up that you will have to go custom.

And actually, the Brides are fairly comfortable for long drives, much more so than many of the other seats available in my opinion (I have been through 4 different brand sets now).

Oh, and make sure you order the sideplates with the seat. Zeta's are sidemount only.

My Corbeau Pro Sport is the most comfortable seat I've driven in, until I dived into the Bride Zeta II.

About the brackets, I actually had to modify my Corbeau slider in order to fit my side-mounted Corbeau seat. (The slider is bottom-mounted and I made some L brackets to make it into side-mounted) I measured the Zeta, it's almost a direct fit into my modified slider.

I've tried the Bride, it's very comfortable since it gives me a lot of support. I got a hook up on this seat so it's going to cost around 700CDN, (*only* 500USD) compared to the MSRP of 800USD or something ridiculous.

Right now I am having second thought about the seat since the Corbeau is not bad after all... and I want to put a laptop mount, Momo 11" steering wheel, and some other stuff in the car... So many plans, so little money

With sideplates you have the option to lock the seat at multiple angles anyway. Unless you like to ride gangster style with the headrest touching your backseat, it is more than comfortable.
