Non of those things void warraties. Toyota will have to prove to you that your upgrades/mods caused the problem.

Yeah man, Ive done exhaust, wheels, and other stuff, and I bought the extensive toyota pre-owned/used car warranty. Just like everyone else said, it just voids the parts you changed. But engine work, like boring out the cylinders or modifying the oil system somehow might void everything on the engine. CAI could, but I dont think it would. Just take it out and put in the stock box when you cash in on the warranty. They wouldnt know the difference.

true ture, however, if I decide to go with a Y pipe for imitation duals, or any exhaust upgrade of any kind and something happens to the motor, i could see toyota saying something like.....

"well, putting an exhaust on other than toyota OEM you could have a valve not seating properly due to less backpressure, blown a piston ring, blown your head gasket, a rod ...etc... all because you put on your fancy, warranty voiding exhaust. by the way, did you pay toyota a gazillion dollars an hour to put this on, cause if you didnt, we are not paying!!!"

..with my luck anyway thats how it would turn out.

but ill take your guys words for it

it depends on which dealership you go to, to have work done.

bigger dealerships don't hassle you as easily as smaller dealerships do.

if the service/mech guys are anal enough, they can trace any problem to any aftermarket thing you've done.
