Yes, as a matter of fact I have been looking at them for some time. The REALLY nice thing about the D2 is you can select the spring rate when you order them. That way if you want them really stiff, you can order a higher spring rate like I did. 13kg front and 11kg rear. Some people want the ride a little more comfortable than a stiff rail and go with a 7kg F 5 kg rear. I think the standard spring rate is 9kg front and 7kg rear. Additionally, they are very adjustable. Definitely look to be the best coilover available for our application.

The only problem is, I cannot attest to quality. The N/A distributor says he will stand behind them for the 1 year warranty period (which is typical for coilovers). They do have them for the Solara, it is the same as for the Gen-4 Camry (I guess). They had a group buy at Toyota Nation. There were many unhappy people there for 2 reasons. The first reason was delivery. The second was the distributor. The place they got them from that did the group buy is good, the distributer that he got them from is bad! Marcus at ADV Auto was the Canadian distributor. He screwed a lot of people including me. Charged my credit card and never delivered. D2 used a different supplier for the oil in the coilovers for a brief period and had complaints of noise. Since then, they fixed that and the noise is gone (they say). The Canadian distributor didn't do ANYTHING for the people with the problem, the US distributor swapped out everyone's struts that came through his facility.

I just ordered a set yesterday $1,287 shipped. Again, I am not endorsing them yet. I need to test them for a while, then I'll let you know my opinion but for the price, WOW! I'd challenge anyone to find anything close to this for features and functionality! Other vehicle forums use them and love them. Here's a good place to go to if you're interested. Ask them about the Solara application. -JoeB http://www.nolimitmotorsport.com/prod/D2-T03. That's the place I ordered from, same place Milt mentioned...

"carefully matched spring and damper rates"

I'm sure the custom spring rate will be be matched quite well with your own dampening setting =P

Looks interesting... 36-way adjustable sounds cool, but I don't think we need that much fine tuning capability... afterall, we are driving granny cars

I finally finished the install on my D2 coilovers last night and it's been raining since then so I'm not going out to test them. If you haven't seen them, they look great! They are purple annodized alluminum with black springs, pillow ball mount, the dampning has 36 adjustable settings (although I'm guessing you'll only want to adjust the back 1 time and leave it since you have to pull the interior apart to get to the top of the coilover), camber adjustment, ride height adjustable seperate from spring pre-load adjustment, selectable spring rates at time of order, struts are valved to the spring rate you order. Definitely the most versatile coilover for under $1,300!

Now the bad with the good. They came with no instructions. This is when so much adjustability is a bad thing. I don't know squat about installing suspensions. I had a shop install them but there was confusion about the adjustment procedure so they weren't adjusted correctly. I did extensive research on other forums about them and installation/adjustment. I pulled them apart and put them back together many times until I got them adjusted right where I want them. Now that I'm finished, It doesn't seem that bad, just my ignorrance  . I'm dying to test them out and get the dampning set where I want it! -JoeB
