i put my stock intake back on today, which, by the way, was a biznatch... and i noticed that i feel like i get a little MORE pickup. the stock intake is cold-air anyways. weird huh?

Yeah, remember you lose a noticable difference in low end with the CAI.

CAI is better at high RPMs. I think air travel time has a lot to do with it. I notice it everyday when I take off quickly, I take off much slower than I used to with the stock air box. But, you can't beat the accelleration at the higher RPMs with the CAI :P

True.....Especially if you try doing it with 3 extra guy in the car...Maybe Tq lost becuase the cat-back already dropped it too much...

Astro- so With the stock intake back in, how bad slow is it? I was thinking about dropping a K&N filter in with the stock box..Killer?

K&N filter will only give you a little bit of a gain and to some it does sound a little louder. The CAI is the most effective modification to the air intake system.

Short ram has the filter still inside the engine bay. Cold air it will have an extension that will lead the filter behind out driver side foglight.
