HID Question:H4 rebased+Casper Shield

Postby CASTRO » Wed May 11, 2005 9:46 pm

Well just as the title says: to help reduce the glare, can the casper adapter shield be used in conjunction with the Mcculloch (sp?) H4 kit? I'd searched almost every forum from TN, here and HIDForum, and cant find an answer. I know the casper adapter is for use with DS2 bulbs, but after looking at many detailed pictures of the HID H4 kit and the Casper adapter, seems like both MIGHT fit together. I was planning to put in the Casper first, and then the HID rebased bulb after... anyone care to shine light on this subject?

Short version: I want the casper shield but have the H4 McCulloch kit... will it work?

thanks for the info
I've also read that blocking of painting the bottom part of the housing would help reduce glare also. Would the casper work WITH the Mcculloch H4 kit? I just want to know all my options. thanks

The casper shields will only work with a DS2 bulb. The bottom of the casper shield is formed into the H4 socket. There wouldnt be a way to secure the H4 bulb to the casper shield.
