Really good performance, pretty cheap. You just have to downgrade to 205/55 :P

Otherwise ---> http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Compare1. ... &x=34&y=13

I think the Dunlop SP Sport A2 Plus is pretty nice

P.S. I've heard from other people that the Proxes are decent.

S-O3's and Michelin Pilot Sports are the most common performance tire I see on the cars at the tire-rack events. My buddy works there and has driven on all of the sets. Believe it or not, he likes the performance of the Kuhmo Escta MX's for the money, although they are a little loud.

LOL!! You can't go from S-03 to Proxes 4!

Check out FUZION ZR-i... or was it HR-i? ... well, they have a similar tread pattern to the S-03 (Brig. owns Fuzion... it's their "Scion") and are pretty damn cheap.

I've yet to use them, but they were recommended to me when I was shopping for tires.

225/40R18
Fuzion: $90 each
Proxes 4: $115 each
PZero: $125 each

My tire guy recommended the Fuzion over the PZero!!

ultra high performance tires wear lke that... middle of the road ones (that are found as OEM) wear 'normally'

Pirellis are found on Porsches and (higher end) Benz.

I'm currently rolling on 225/40/18 Fuzion ZR-i. They are totally decent for the price. Can't speak to tire wear yet. My only complaint so far is the tread width is a little narrow, noticalbly more than the AVS ES100's I had on previously. If you are planning on 215's on stock wheels, Fuzions would probably be a good fit.
