hood won't close

just like the topic says. my hood won't close. i have a carbon fiber hood and the latch doesn't want to hook on ??? i had the hood for 2 months and it didn't give me problems but now the hood doesn't want to close. i think it's the latch but don't know what is wrong. anyone help ???
