I'm pretty sure red and blue are illegal. Not to have but to have on during street use. It's because red and blue are emergency colors, so as far as neon kits go it's strictly show, or a ticket.

At least this is what I've been told.

As a general rule, avoid Blue, Red, or UV if you're on the roads - off-road or show use is fine though. Green is legal in most places, as is white.

There is no general rules for neons. You must talk to your local police. Send an e-mail get a response and keep it in your glovebox that way you have some sort of written law. Alot of officers think/know they are illegal but cant quote the law number local code. Education is your best bet. I know if you cross a city line or state line around here its a whole new ball game. I speak from experience. I had over 50 glowing things on a past ride. :)

Also Streetglow Gold Series is considered the best. Plasmaglow has a similar kit that is a slight bit more powerful both of those neon kits are great.

I like LED kits. Neons drain batteries and are power hogs. LEDs can provide multiple colors are easier to wire and have more control and aim.
