What does that do? Does it work with an aftermarket intake, or is it the intake? Is it worth anything?

It's a very fancy heat shield. I believe it works with an aftermarket intake. I would just spend the money for a true CAI, as I figure it would work better.
Let's just pretend I didn't grow up, or you're going to be terribly disappointed.

Im pretty sure its not a heatshield, but a Intake of itself, that basically replaces the stock box with an aluminum box. I researched this a while back.

I doubt it does much of anything.

hmm, might sound kind of stupid, but a CAI and put this around the CAI, will it make the air even colder or not much of a difference? hmmm.

Looks like it would go where a regual Injen intake would be. So if you put a extension on it would be pointless I would think. Its to prevent heat and water from that spot. The filter would not be there. I suppose it might cover the piping. 8)

I honestly would never recommend Weapon R products but from what this product looks to me is that it's just a Weapon R Short Ram Intake with a heat shield on it

i agree it just a fancy heat shield. it cannot be factory box replacement because that would have to be modle specific.

:D  It looks like a BlacknDecker Duster...

Seriouly, If your looking to get cooler air in the short-ram intake, then IMHO your better off with the CAI from RJ @ UPFD. At least the CAI would get you out of the boiling engine bay. Besides, It has a sweet sound if your Blown at WOT.  8)

i had a weapon r intake on my old car and based on that i would buy another... sound was nice and definately felt a gain in torque and high upper rpms... yes from an intake, i know i know... i liked weapon-r but their filters need to change to something else beside foam.... thats what i did
