Clutch question

Clutch question

Postby methyl mike » Thu Aug 11, 2005 5:18 pm

Ok so lately my car has been shuddering real bad when i first start driving in the morning, yes i warm up at least 5 min every morning, so its not that. The transmission seems to have a hard time catching in first and sometimes second when i first start driving, so im thinking this is the clutch going, so I want to know-is this my clutch going? If it is, whats the best clutch to buy, and where is the cheapest place to get it? Thanks for the input.

Hey check that out, is that an entire clutch or just a plate? If I want like a very strong, very good clutch, would I want to kind of mix and match parts or something? I know NOTHING about clutches, so please bear with me.

Your clutch will still last you. Its jsut the clutch is not really wearing, just getting use allot..Plus A car warming up doesnt warm up your clutches.., Not the stage of danger yet... If your going to replace it, Might as well go for a racing clutch or some sort where its stronger to somewhat last longer for daily... My car does it too but after driving awhile it goes away...So yeah... Good luck..

check your clutch fluid..if it is low you will have a hard time finding gears and sometime the clutch may "rub" a bit causing slight movements in the car.

My car does it too. Annoying for sure but doesn't seem to be causing a problem.
