If you want to get true OEM replacements, thier actually NGK platinum plugs on Solara Gen1/1.5.
I found that Iridium does last longer than Platinum (110k vs 60k), and performs better with a higher melting point (1200F higher).

I'd go Iridium. Considering they use Iridiums on the Lexus ES, which shares the same mechanics as the Solara, I would not expect any problems. I dont think NGK vs Denso matters, but dont get Bosch.
