Who has a dry cell battery???

I'm going to change my battery soon because when I brought my car they had the wrong one in there (too small for the brackets).
I was wondering which brand is best? I've only heard about the optima yellow top and the stinger so far but I wanted to know what everyone else has and how's it working out.
I'm not sure if this will affect anyones answer but I have alot of accessories such as 2-sunvisor monitors,1-rear view mirror monitor,kenwood double din monitor,1-rockford 1000bd,1-600 watt lanzar amp,1-15" kicker L7(very hard bass),strobes,and l.e.d lights in the trunk.

If you have a suggestion please give me the model #'s and brands that will fit in a gen1 with no modifications.

The Optima is a spiral cell battery. Good stuff. Wortown Solara has a nice battery also, but I don't remember what brand it is. On the Optima I had to put a 1” shim under the battery to get the hold-down to function properly, and I lengthened the battery cables, but it was well worth the effort as it’s been a really good battery for me over the last 4 years.

Since you have all that stuff an Optima Yellow Top will be the best since it's deep cycle. . . I believe the model to fit our Solara's is D35 for a perfect fit. . . Someone correct me if I'm wrong. . . Go to www.ajusa.com for some good prices with free shipping

I'd check out Interstate deep cycle batteries... they actually own / manufacture Optima batteries, and they are cheaper... I've run both in my vehicles for over 10 years (I have always had competition sound systems in my vehicles) and the Interstates are AT LEAST as good as the Optima... I'm currently running a true 2000W sound system on a 3 month old Autocraft Titanium and I'm already getting the rotten egg smell... So I gotta take that POS back and I'm gonna go for another Interstate...

Should a deep cycle battery really be needed? If he's drawing his battery that far down on a consistent basis to need a deep cycle, something would seem to need to be checked out. IMHO, of course.

I should have been more specific I am not having any problems with my battery I've just been meaning to change it since I bought the car last december and I figured since i'm going to change it anyway why not get a better battery the first time as long as it would be worth it.
