Correct offset for rims?

Correct offset for rims?

Postby methyl mike » Thu Sep 29, 2005 3:17 pm

Im going to buy 2 18x7.5 for front and 2 18x8.0 for back, im wanting to know correct offset for front rims to fit flush, and correct for back. Note, i would like rear wheels to sit slightly wider than the front. Avail offsets appear to be 35 39 44 or 49 for both rims. Looking to buy a set of these rims http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/vivi ... _2887_2888

Do you want these to sit flush with rolling your rear fenders or without??

for the front 18x7.5 you may want to go with a 35 offset. 35offset would look the good without any modifications.

for the rear 18x8 if you are not willing to roll or cut the rear fenders you should use anywhere from a 40offset which is recommended but if you would for it to sit more flush with the rear wheel well you can go 35offset for the rear but you will have to roll / cut your rear fenders.

So 35 offset for both cool. Hey anyone know why they make this rim in a 1 and 2 piece and the 2 is like twice as much? Do they look diff or are tey lighter or something? I cant tell a difference looking at them.
