Hi All,

Yes, I know I should use search: (I did....)
Yes, I know this topic has been discussed before: (Search for my name on this forum and you will see quite a few entries on about Rims and Tires)

Ok, my solara skidded off the exit ramp :drinking: and ALL of my wheels are tires need to be replaced. I had 5Zigen Copse Rims with COntinental ContiExtremeCOntact tires. I had them put around 2 or 3 years back.

I just cannot find my notes from then about offset and stuff... my receipt mentions 18 X 7.5 +42 offset for the RIMS...

will these rub on my Gen 1 toyota?
How about 18X7.5 with 40MM offset?
I will have 235/40/18 tires on them.

Please help me out,

thanks a million
sko

ps. is it wierd that i have 108K miles and i am still running my original brake pads???

40 I believe will def be good.
I think 42 will be fine too, but I think 43 @ 7.5" wide may rub the rear struts, so that ones cutting it close.

I have 18 x 7.5 with 43 offset and 225/40 18s and they don't rub the strut but are extremely close. The added width of the 235 might put it over the edge.
