TEIN SS Maintenance

Postby TheTamago » Tue Feb 14, 2006 2:20 am

I knew there was a thread somewhere about the maintenance of these coilovers but after a couple hours(per days) in SEARCH o RAMA BUTTON Mayhem, I can't find the data. I'm kinda debating to do a yearly maintenance on these considering i'm lil rough on the turns on the road lately since I'm loving the turn in.

I'll probably go into manual self-tuning once I own a set of mechanic tools like a socket rachet n stuff so i can start dismantling small things that aren't too much of hassle without needing a lift or jack since I don't have a real garage space to do mechanical work. Gonna tweak the damper settings *GULP*

But anyways, to the topic: Will probably have the certified TEIN dealer deal with the maintenance but I bet it'll cost time n money for such high performance suspension which I don't regret. I wanted the performance so this is the only penalty side.

What kind of maintenance are you talking about?

Tein coilovers are for the most part a maintenance free part. If they ever blow, you would need to get a rebuild. But other than that, I don't see any other type of schedule maintenance that needs to be done.

I've had my Tein FLEX's on for about 2yrs, and I haven't done a thing with them. This includes track events and such.
