i had no idea toyota would do something as stupid as (but not limited to):

rule out the option of adj. cam gear timing.

the whole point to tuning a dohc motor with adjustable cam gears is to have control over the Cam lobe seperation angle

I am of the mind that, if there are only 2 actual cam gears on these dohc motors, then the method of tuning and complete philsophy behind the reason for adjustable cam gears (on this motor) has been compromised

for the simple man that has no idea what any of that means : A 4 cam motor worth tuning should have 4 cam gears.
