This is used mostly for boosted cars.
It connects to the hose that comes witht he valve cover to intake.

This catches all the oil so it doesn't blow back into your intake system.
If your N/A this is worthless. Its mostly used on Turbo or S/C'd motors.

IMO.. They are all the same Name brand or NOT.. I had NRG oil catch can.. But i sold it to another member here. He seems to love it.. I bought it intending to boost my car in the future but when plans changes i just sold it.

Greddy has good ones.. ARC, NRG, APEX-i and other name brands. But you can get a generic one and it will function pretty much the same..

But remember to have some room.
I have one i got off of Ebay too.
And haven't put it in yet, cause of no room. :(
But once i get the CP-e intake i will be puttin' it in; cause when i was cleanin' my T.B. it was all black and the black plastic piece had oil in there.....

After reading in Modified Magazine this last months issue about knockoff ebay parts and the lack of quality in them, I won't touch something like this. No matter how good it looks or how close it is to the real thing, it's never as good. You should see the knockoff SR20 oil pan they had in there, it's ridiculously poorly crafted.

You can make your own 2... its simple... they are basically a way of having the oil drip into the can as well as try to get some of the oil in the air to condense... pretty simple design

"dominoSLEV6" i have all 3 issues of Modified Mag on the Ebay knock off, and yes that picture of the Greddy SR20 oil pan looked shite.
But the oil catch can is just for the oil to drip in like "SCV6" mentioned.
I posted one up awhile back on a DIY of a oil catch can.
