Thanks in advance.

i believe the answer to your question depends on the setup of your car...

though i haven't had experience with the "wilwood" brand, the replacement brake lines typically follow the same routing as the stock brake lines. in the case of the products you are considering, "wilwood engineering" does not manufacture a specific brake line kit for the solara; thus, it would be necessary for you to measure the distance (including some angles) needed to custom cut them and ship to you. i'm inferring that the "flexlines" described in the wilwood products mean you'll be able to make some minor modifications to the lines yourself (as is the case with most brake lines). if you are lowered, you'll most likely have to modify attachments brackets for the strut. you should make sure that the lines are not touching any part of the suspension or drive train. in addition, if you have disc brakes on both front & rear, then the distances for them should be the same...

secondly, i wouldn't order from andy's auto sport... and i am only saying this from several first-hand experiences that have been nothing short of a nightmare... i would also recommend getting rotora's brake lines instead (you'll be able to find new ones on ebay shipped for ~$25-30)... those are the ones that came with my big brake kit http://www.rotora.com/press%20release/SOLARA.pdf...

finally, to answer your question on which on to get, i believe mine was similar to the last one on the first page (19 - f/m)... anywayz, good luck!

Yeah i think so, so you have to be quick like a rabbit to change them.
Actaully get a bucket and then open the old hose and put the new one on there, and your will have to bleed the new ones.

it doesn't really GUSH out, but you do have to be quick. after changing one line, you'll figure out which way is the easiest for you without having to lose too much oil. the best way i found was to remove the OEM rubber brake hose from the metal brake line FIRST. there's a "U" bracket holding the rubber hose in place, so you're gonna want to remove that first since it's a bitch to get out. with a 10mm flare wrench loosen the nut that connects the rubber hose to metal line on the car. at this point, GET YOUR NEW BRAKE LINE READY. pop out the OEM rubber hose and quickly replace your new line; flare wrench it on, and put the "U" bracket back. good luck with that as it's also a bitch to put back in. from there you'll be able to figure it out how to get it to the caliper. it's a 12mm or 14mm bolt holding the line to the caliper.

IF YOU'RE DOING THE FRONT BRAKE LINES, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ENOUGH TRAVEL DISTANCE WHEN YOU TURN THE WHEEL EITHER DIRECTION! i snapped one of my lines during the install because i didn't have enough slack.

fair warning.

Do steel brake lines really make that much quantifiable difference on a power braking equipped vehicle?

i can't really tell if it's the ss lines or the pads, but when i did my rotors, pads, and lines there was a noticible difference in stopping power and response.
