opinion on rims

I was looking at a set of rims from someone local. 19 inch R1 Racing Rims with Toyo tires. Tires look brand new still and the rims are in great condition. The guy wants $900. Tires supposedly cost him $800 and the rims were about $1500. Looking for some opinions.

Here are some other rims I was considering.

A tire and wheel package for each of these in 18 inch runs around around $950

It is looking ok. Did you see how the tread is used ? Because is the tires are too used, you'll buying used wheels for 900$ !

Did you consider 5 twin spokes with less space between twin spokes..or some 7 spokes...Which color is your Solara ??

I don't like them, one of the other choices is better, (the first, personally).

The first pictures look like a knock-off of the Volks.
Have you thought about some Gen 2 5 spoke rims????

"Sebas007" I agree wit you man, make sure the tire tread is good.
And not worn down too much.

"Steve526" You will need to re-size your avatar or else someone is goin' to start flamin' you.

if he paid 1500 for those wheels then he got ripped off big time. R1's are junk. sorry if i sound like a bit of a snob. i just hate seeing a nice clean solara on cheap wheels. :-?

yea if you are actually considering spending that much money, you should spend a little more on top of that for a set of brand new wheels from a reputable wheel shop, or online... for like, real Volks, Rays, Gram lites etc...

the rims look too big for that car and yeah they're are ugly in my opinion as well. I like the second set, but think you can still do better.
