Factory Mud guards and TRD kit

Factory Mud guards and TRD kit

Postby Smoothro » Fri Nov 10, 2006 8:21 am

I installed the TRD kit on my car about a month ago and I love it. However, I do miss having my mudguards. Every time I drive over any little bit of water it is splashed all up along the side of the car. Has anyone ever tried modifying the guards to allow them to be mounted along with the TRD kit? Or any other solutions to guard against stuff getting thrown up off the road?

As soon as I put larger rims on it was so much worse - so I went back to the stockies for the winter.

Gotta tell you from experience that the mudguards are really just for looks - not function. Especially with after-market rims! ;)

Well i don't have front mud guards and the water gets splashed up on my door.
But the rear works really good for me.
But the only problem is when it snow in OKC, the snow builds up on the mudguards on the rear, and i sometimes have to kick the snow off from gettin' to close to teh wheels.

How about you rip off the kit, sell it to me and put the mudguards back on!! Problem solved!!
(btw, PM me if you're actually going to take my advice!)

lol, that would just make you upset, because when I originally bought it before I painted it TBP, it was already DWP, so I will spare your feelings and keep it ;)

OKC is North-Eastern??

Oh well, we usually don't get snow every year.
Just cold weather.
