chrome---->silver, possible

the wheels i really like right now are only sold in chrome. is it possible to get them painted silver, and reliably so it wont chip? how much could i expect to pay?

You can... Not cheap. 75 bucks a rim in my area. They oven coat it. I dont know what they really call it but thats what they do. Paint then oven it.

Actually you want to powdercoat them and not just paint alone......

^^ True - unless they're 1-piece and you want to keep a chrome lip.

If you're painting the whole wheel, then powdercoat is the way to go.

Otherwise, you're gonna have to have them professionally masked, etched, sealed, painted, clearcoated and let cure for a few days before mounting them.

This is the process I"ve seen them do on OverHaulin' several times.

If you have 2-3 piece wheels, then you can get the individual parts powdercoated - but then you're looking at over $500/rim anyway so money isn't an issue at that point!
