A/F Gauge or EGT/Pyrometer Gauge?
I was all set to order an Autometer A/F gauge to compliment my TRD boost gauge but now RayCarlo posts that it's not worth it and just for looks? Im not into getting a gauge that isn't effective and is all looks. Does the A/F not do a good job at properly reading the mixture? I heard when you are watching your boost rise your A/F gauge should start moving towards rich? Would a EGT/Pyrometer gauge be more effective and how exactly would I determine the a/f ration with an EGT gauge? Would it be stoich would be ____ degree to ____ degree while lean would be ___ to ____ and rich would be ___ to ______?? I think I'm also going to be getting Danny's pod that fits below the ash tray and put in oil pressure and fuel pressure gauges there. Now advice on A/F vs. EGT please. TIA. Jon.
