EBAY intakes are crap you will loose at least 5 hp it is too big and many do not have the correct amountof vacume ports. Injen with cai is good and my HKS with cai was good but CPE made my cai look like dog crap when compaired with the power diff.

If you are refering to the ebay intake and what will happen basically the car will feel dog slow then it will all of a sudden kick in like a rocket because the MAF finally got a good reading. Also your top end will suffer greatly.

If you're wanting to stay in that price range, just get a K&N high-flow air filter. No CELs, genuine performance gains, no modification required, and (in my opinion) still sounds sweet. It's also been mentioned that the Solara loses low-end torque with the CAI - it's been suggested that the only genuine benefit you'd get out of a CAI would be if you were boosted.

So ebay intake. I tried it because i didnt search well enough nor was this thread created then.

1. Quality was like ass. Welds are crap, dents, not enough vaccum line spots.

I just got it so i can put my AEm filter in, well that went as planned but like they said 3" pipe is too big and like what others have said, the MAF would not read the rite ratio.

Anyways, the car first ran great, sounded good. Then one day of driving it on the freeway, Idle went superchoppy. Can barely get the car rolling smooth. White smoke and a bad smell was the result

Like the crime dog saying no to drugs, "SAY NO TO EBAY INTAKE!!"

I learn my lesson, and i hope, for the record, Dont buy ebay intake.

Ok, question for u guys, i have an 03' solara, now alot of places show 99-02' for the fits, will these still fit on an 03' V6? and while i'm askin this question, will clear corners for an 99-02' fit the 03's as well? thanks guys!

Which engine do you have? If it fits a Gen 1 (99-01) 1MZ-FE (3.0L V6), it'll fit a Gen 1.5 (02-03) model. The clear corners for the Gen 1 won't, however, fit on the 1.5s.
