my biggest concern with replacing my suspension is reliability. i dont really want to have to deal with switching everything out in another 3 years, cuz its gonna get too expensive for me to deal with. i kno with coilovers, the stiffer u go the quicker they blow, and tokicos blow more easily the more they are lowered. but i am tryin to get a feel for what typically lasts longer, so if people could post

1) their setup (struts/springs/coilovers)
2) how long (yrs/miles) they have been driving without issues. if you have had issues, please elaborate.

it really depends on the conditions you plan to drive it under and local roads... to be honest, I think youd be much happier with your ride quality, price, and reliability if you went with struts and springs... thats my 2 cents.

^^ I agree w/ CamryOnBronze

Like I said in the other post, if you're not going to buy the coilovers for their stiffness, you're wasting your money.

As per your post:
1) JIC SF-1 coilovers
2) I bought these second hand one year ago and they had around 10K-15K miles on them. I believe my setup should be at around 30K miles total right now. The only problem I've had is the right rear setup is knocking, although I think that's because the pillow ball mount is starting to go :drinking:

What's the difference between the SF-1s and FLT-1s?

SF-1 = Adjustable height and camber

FLT-A1 = Same as above but also adjustable damper

No matter what BRAND, TYPE, OR Miles
Over time they will wear out....

These are wear and tear parts.
This can vary by person since no one person's driving habits at the same.

If you are looking for a cost effieceny way to have your car lowered and till have dependability they I suggest sticking with a spring strut combo.

Coilovers need to be recharged over a certain time and will have a higher cost involved.

but in the end if you want to play you have to pay..... Thats the way I look at it...
