My CAI is bent a little bit also, I think its impossible to get a perfect fit on our cars unless you shave alot of metal down.

And is the filter suppose to sit here...cause it seems to me that the water run off on the sides of the hood would leak right onto the filter...

as long as it isnt completely submerged in water, you will be fine. mine gets splashed all the time, it wont affect anything.
