Steering Wheel Question

Postby icelove82 » Mon May 28, 2007 10:01 pm

What year and model of steering wheel is compatible with Gen 1 solara?
My steering wheel worn out pretty bad.
Has anybody here installed Lexus steering wheel to solara's?
I also would like to know the specification of our solara's airbag.
I saw something like dual stage airbags in Lexus.

I've been trying to figure this out too. I recently asked the dealership about a replacement and they quoted me $850. They said other steering wheels can fit, but the air bags wouldn't connect up so they wouldn't recommend it. I was thinking that an auto electrician could redo the wiring to make the air bag of the new steering wheel fit.

That Gen 7 celica steering looked the best that I've seen so far, but the color would not match my interior.Another obstacle is to find a steering wheel with the same color as current. I have the charcoal grey interior. I don't want a black steering wheel, I want a charcoal grey.

I was hoping some lexus steering wheel to fit without any mods.
b/c they are relatively easier to get compare to toyota one.
