hey i never had an HID kit before but i recently bought one and just installed it tonight. are they suppose to have a low hum to them?? im not sure if its something i did wrong or are they just like that?

The humming is normal, don't worry. It just the current, as stated above, going through the circuit. You'll notice that it gets quieter as the lights charge up fully (~10 sec after they're on).
