Has anyone done this? I know some of the camry guys have. I was told that the H&R 4cyl springs would lower the car a little more that the V6 springs, but I know hat the spring rates would be different. lets get you opinions on this.

I say just do it right and not use rates not suited for the heavier front end

not a problem

if it works on a camry, then it'll work on a solara

as well, I wouldn't worry too much about the weight difference in the design. the 4banger engine/tranny at the most weighs 200lbs less than the v6 engine/tranny.

put a fat guy in the front seat and that's already the difference there

yeah i've got 4cyl spring on my camry. Tein H-Techs. Didn't wanna go too low. The front is MAYBE a 1/4 to 1/2 inch lower than what the design hieght says. Not enough to notice, and it still rides great.

im using carmy H-tech 4cyl on my V6 solara we works fine... except a bit bouncy
