1MZ-3MZ Conversion

does anyone know anything about whether it is possible to do a 1MZ-to-3MZ head swap? i know the main diff's b/w the two engines are the 3MZ-FE is bored out a bit more (0.3L more), and that it has VVT-I (diff cam's). what i'm wondering is will a head conversion do it, or would someone who is swapping heads have to change out the ECU for the 3MZ and everything else.
and also, if everything must be swapped out (head, ecu, etc), will the block have to be bored out so that the displacement matches 3.3L?
i'm just curious, since i'm not necessarily looking to put on the s/c (too pricey and none are new w/ warrenty), but would like a little extra sleeper edge.
let me know if what i'm saying makes sense to anyone, or if i'm just spouting techno-babble w/o it really making sense to anyone other than myself.
and most importantly, i'm wanting to know so that i can have a better technical understanding of engines and swaps and such. any input (sans negative input) is appreciated.
