I mean on a smooth road its great but as soon as i hit any kind of hole or small bump i get a lot of loud banging. Could this be caused by my sway bar links that i have to replace or could it be the strut mounts or the rubber mounts that the spring sits on. Or is this the price to pay to have a lowered car.

Overall once u drop it u cant go back :D

my combo is actually fairly quiet..

i will own non-lowered vehicles. (actually do). I think its nice to have a fun lowered weekend cruiser , but not all my cars are lowered. When you all start a family and settle down you will realize that its nice to have your car, and then there will the family car - (that car will be for practicality),

The problems that incur with lowering a vehicle drive me nuts. No matter what, all of my cars have annoyed me after being lowered. The ride quality is always lessened, and noises seem to pop up every so often that I have to fix. Even though, I still put myself through the hassle to achieve the appearance and handling I love.

I loved when my lara was lowered, But damn this mod put a big whole in my wallet. i replaced the set up to 3 times. replaced one strut mount need to do the same for a rear but totaled the car before i could. I replaced two sway bar links as well. Had knocking , werid noises going over bumps ect. I hated driving on my roads. unbalancedwood can vouch on Mds roads they suck, even on the high way.

^^finally people with the same problems i have. When i put my coilovers on this winter im replacing all sway bar links and strut mounts just to insure no more noises. I just want the car to feel and sound like high class sporty suspension.

Personally, I'm just broke LOL... Although I'm working 2 jobs and 2 businesses to pay off my debt, the more I try to save, the less I actually have... I had PLANS for this car. PLANS. However, how many got done? Only a couple, and that's only out of necessity or practical reasons, and lately I can't even afford to get USED STOCK springs/struts!

Oh well, I'm planning on getting the drop-top version anyway... But I HATE how the car sits as high as a tractor though! On the bright side I don't have to worry about curbs, and at least the stock ride quality is buttery smooth; I'd hate to lose it if I got lowering springs, especially if I had a back injury that makes econo-cars a ride to hell.

Y'all kill me with ur lowering stories. The drop you're talking about our nothing compared to how I had my dsm with ground controls and koni yellows. Stock 1g wheel gap is massive so I prob. dropped the car by 2'' or so front and rear. Oh and I did make sure to have it aligned properly too so the camber would allow as much tire contact with the surface as possible. Now that was a stiff and hard ride and had to beware of lots of dips and driveways but I still lived with it. Prob. the best handling car I ever had. 150 never felt so good

^right, just struts and mild drop springs is truly nothing until you drop a couple of inches with coilovers... now I love driving my daily camry on tokico/H&R because its so smooth... i used to think it was harsh!
