Probably a stupid question, but what does it mean when you car is running rich? And how would you fix it? My check engine light is still on. :o

Means that there is more fuel going into the engine than normal. It's probably running rich BECAUSE of the check engine light, which is a normal response from the ECU to prevent any detonation due to lean (less fuel than nominal) fuel delivery.

wouldnt more fuel be more likely to detonate as opposed to less fuel??
