I was wondering if this can be done. If so what do I need to change it out? Is it just a switch or do I need to rewire? Please let me know.

Just try opening the driver side panel and see what components the Driver side window uses... im sure you can get another set to replace you passenger side at the dealers or somewhere online

I would imagine you need mabey not a new switch but a new relay. A switch would be good to give you more options on window position. I was thinking the same thing... i want auto up and down.

Can anyone w/Solara electrical system lend a hand? Do I need a relay or can I change out the switch to one similar to the switch that operates the driver's side window? I am only interested in one touch down, although one touch up for the passenger side does sound interesting. Any thoughts or help?

why dont you just try swapping the two driver's side switches? you should be able to find your answer there.

its only one screw to take that part out anyway.
