depending on where u live i would go with 17's....17's like everyone else has said is less prone to damage on roads. If you're going for show and u don't drive a lot...then go with 18's...that also adds more weight making your car a bit slower....but if u live in so cal or other places with messed up roads..i would go with 17's...i would even go with 16's if u race your car...or speed a lot...since road racers usually use 16's or even 15's...for me personally since i think the solara is too big a car to race in..plus all my audio equipment, i wanna get 19 inch 3 piece rims....but that's just me....

even with 17s you still want to take care of your rims... not to mention less of a worry for theives!! then again when theyre desperate, theyre desperate.

overall solaras look great with 18s... but with so cal road conditions, stick to 17s

I dont know HOW this guy had 20s on his solara as a everyday car!! :o
Retired... its been fun Image

well they do have some 18's that are lighter than 17's...in fact if you have read the recent edition of turbo mag..they have some rims by velox that are 18's and weigh under 15pounds...that much lighter than the 15's they have on the solara 4cyl....
