Offset Question

Postby Darren » Thu Aug 14, 2003 7:41 pm

I am looking for wheels for my 2000 Solara. They will be 17 or 18 inches and probably 7.5" wide. I would like the wheels to appear even with the fenders on the front and back. What are the best offsets to accomplish this? Will +40 in front and +36 in rear work?

I have used the search function and was unable to find a direct answer to my question. I have also asked similar questions on other posts and recieved no replies. I would like to know more specifically what offset is best to have the front and rear wheels appear even with the fenders?

well, since our cars are FF, i'd just stick with all same measurements. (size, width, offset) that way, you can still rotate the tires, instead of buying fresh ones for the front and rear separately.

depending on your width of the rim, thats when you can start thinking about offset. how ever, most likely you will need to find an offset from +35 all the way to +47.

Offset from Solara is from 35-45, but stay between 38-42.
35 you need to roll fender.
