Hey guys. I bought some aftermarket bulbs for my car, they are zenonish with a blue tint, i like them. My question is will these burn out the lighting system or mess it up in any way? I know the bulbs dont have a warranty on them and they can go at any time so i was wondering if it is better to just throw down the 550 on a hid system?

a few days too late.

since aug 15, it is now illegal to purchase an aftermarket HID.

unless you go to junkyars, fish out something there and custom fit onto your car.

Just buy some Silverstars at your corner Kragen Auto, and that should satisfy your lighting look. Lighting is a science on vehicles...I wouldn't mess with it much if I were you.

I haven't heard that aftermarket HIDs are illeagle. Is that just in CA? If so, couln't you just get the light kit from somewhere else and "say" you got it from a junk yard?

As for the bulbs, I agree, just get the Sylvania Silverstars at $20/bulb. BUT, if they came out with a projector headlight for our car, I'd be all over that! -jb
