Need Help with a gasket/spacer/washer

I need a washer or gasket or even just a spacer that can handle a fair amount of heat, i.e. heat from an HID bulb. It doesn't need to be thick, just as long as the opening is about 5/8 of an inch. I've looked around at hardware stores and only found 5/8 holes that are super thick. I found some that are perfect at home depot but they're called fiber washers. Would these hold up to the heat? I know the neoprene rubber washers will just melt/burn. Any ideas as to anything else I can use as a spacer?
