Whats up? Im a new ownner of a 02 i4. I was wondering if anyone could direct me to som elinks or websites of the different bodykits available for my car. Also my car has the JBL stereo and as it sounds nice and has good bass, i was wondering if there was a way to hook up a sub to the exisiting stereo to add some kick to the bass? Or is it recommended that a new system is competely installed(ie headunit, speakers, tweeters, amps, subs?)Thanks in advance

there is the trd kit out there. from molly design. where are you located?? if you from so. cali you could go pick it up. as far as system you could use the stock headunit n add in subs. just go to an audio shop and ask them you would like the install kit for stock head unit for subs. i don't remember what it called tho sorry...

You only need a subwoofer amp with speaker level input and tap those to the rear 6x9s. Power the sub with the subwoofer amp.

Around here (where I live, not necessarily on these forums), we refer to JBL as "Junk But Loud". I got the JBL stereo in my '02 i4 as well ... a week after I drove it off the lot, it had a Kenwood KDC-MPV619 head unit, Infinity Reference components up front, Infinity Reference 6x9s in back, an Alpine MRV-T757 amp, a Rockford Fosgate 1F cap, and a 12" Kicker Solobaric L7 in a 2.5 cubic foot vented box. I installed a distribution block so I can add an amp to the Reference speakers when I feel like it. The speakers are snug behind the stock JBL speaker grilles :D Sounds amazing.

My mother just bought an '03 V8 4Runner with the JBL stereo. When I drive that one, I can hear the difference. Just rip all of the JBL stuff out and install new stuff. You won't regret it. Well ... you won't regret it until you have to install the rear speakers :o
