Bomz air intake

Bomz air intake

Postby Grazi07 » Sun Aug 31, 2003 2:51 pm

I've been debating an intake, and I've seen quite a few Bomz ones on Ebay in the $30-50 range. Does anyone have experience with this product/company? Will it mess with my factory warranty? I'll try to post a link to one of them next time I get a chance. Thanks!

Bomz suck

Postby hnda8r » Sun Aug 31, 2003 4:16 pm

Yeah i actually bought one about a 2 months ago. There ok if you just want to look good, but for a lil performance Id go with Injen. Not much performace but it has an aggressive sound to it. I would have kept the BOMz one but the whole cone filter came off, so i went ahead a bought injen. :o

Adventon.com + Injen = 167.00
Thats where i got mine, and installation waz easy. It took me 15 min to put mine on. But if you want to wait a lil bit, Im sure Xerd.com will have a cold air intake for our cars by then. Group buy for that is $179.00
Whenever that comes out Im gettin it. :o

I just bought one too, but my filter hasnt come off yet. It will make your car pretty loud under the hood, but not "wing wing" noisey.

yeah, i would definitely wait until XERD comes out with their CAI. I had an Injen short ram and personally it didn't really do all that much except for noise and looks. I took it off about a month or two ago and its just sitting in my closet. A CAI is, without a doubt, the way to go. Personally, i'd rather pay the extra money for a quality product that will actually do something rather than something just for looks.
