You're not asking the right thing, then.... 15 shops and they all said 450+? That's insane.

when u ask for the price tell them this is what i can pay do it for this much. If you know your shiz and how much you should be paying you can usually get it. going into a shop and knowing how much to pay means your gonna get ripped off!
