Ok I just have a quick question. Does anybody know if Schung is still making the grill for the solara. Cause I really want one. And I heard he stopped making them but there were people on this site that have gooten those grills after he allegedly stopped making them.

I fortunately bought mine brand new from someone who didn't want it anymore. They come with the primered with the little bar that goes across the middle.

You might want to get a body shop to fabricate one for you but you would have to drive around without your stock grill for awhile.

Good luck. :)

I did this job myself about 2 years ago and it's still looking good. For the right price I'm considering offering this job. You can ship me your stock grill and I'l cut out the old center, sand and paint only the black part (I'll leave the CHROME cause I can't color match) and install the mesh in silver, blue or red high quality mesh (I don't use the cheap e-bay or home-do-it/depot stuff). If you want to see the mesh I use, I bought it from Kragen for $30 a sheet (one sheet does one grill). I'm thinking if I can get $100-$150 I will do it including all material.

That is a very good looking grill, I PM'ed you with some questions, but I also have another question, did you cut out everything behind the mesh or is there something left there. So basically is there anything left of the original grill except the outline of it. Thanks

When you cut out the black part there is still a small BLACK lip left (look carefully at your grill and just cut the verticle parts). That is what you push the mesh up against and mount it with clips you can buy at Kragen, not "twist ties" or "wire". And, you can find the bumper hole plugs at Home Depot, you know, HDRD, Home Depot Racing Developement.

TITO, what tool did you use to cut out the black vertical parts on the grill?
