Optima yellow top

I'm ordering an optima yellow top battery this week and I wanted to know which model everyone was using? D34?

Also how did you get the extra spacer to raise the battery up?
And where did you order the battery price and how much did it cost?

Thanks in advance

Any other experiences would be greatly appreciated

I bought mine from Advance Auto Parts for like $170... but that's only because I was planning on replacing it anyway and my stock battery died. I didn't use a spacer, however the cables weren't quite long enough and I had to do a little reorganizing to fit it. I've got the D34/78 with the side terminals also.
Please stop humping my car, owner privilege!

Yanks, when you get the battery, can you do a DIY on hot to extend the batter cables and all? To raise it up, you get a plate from Optima. Call them up and they'll send it to you.

My red top came with a spacer from costco. Regardless on what you do you're probably going to need to extend those cables. I just bought I think 4 gauge ground wire and replace the stock ground wires. I also bought 4 gauge powre wire and cut the terminal off the positive and used a huge butt connector and crimped it down. I had an audio do the crimping for me since they had a monster one. I also had to buy new terminals. Other than that it was super easy!

100 flat is a good price. will someone do a more detailed DIY for extending the cables?
