TRD Suspension

Postby D-ZoL » Mon Dec 22, 2003 11:23 pm

what up- I have a 2001 v6 SE Solara- TRD Muffler, K&N Air Fliter Replacement, I am looking to upgrade my suspension. I am looking at TRD...the struts and lowering springs, as well as TRD rear and front sway bars. What install charges am I looking at? Will warrenty be voided if installed outside of dealer and/or a brand other than TRD is used( Eibach more specifically...) IS TRD my best option? Also i still have stock rims, but am looking to get the TRD 17 in. rims later, will I run into any trouble with this in mind? Also where can I get the best price for the TRD aftermarket parts...I found going directly to TRD a bit expensive...? Thanks for your insight and time....Outro....

Doesn't seem like u looked around this forum...
Anyway, TRD springs = Eibach, TRD struts = Blisteins. Other than TRD springs are eibach, intrax, tien, and sprint. Tokico struts is a good choice other than TRDs. There will be no trouble when upgrading to 17s. TRD doesn't make a front sway bar only rear.

TRD stand for toyota racing development. they are only sold through dealers.

used TRD parts however are sold from personals.

go for different things besides ALL TRD. it may look better and be cheaper.

TRD stuff is pretty expensive, and seriously its better to get outside company things. going to the dealer is bad since they rip you off. if you want good prices go to a shop that specializes in toyotas. and the warranty will not be voided, unless it deals with a specific part. Like say you change your springs to TRD and then later your seats come loose, the dealer can't say cuz of your springs that they won't honor your warranty. but, if you did that and then you blow the stock shocks, that could be because of the TRd springs, then they could not warranty it. things like that.
