Just to let everyone know how fibre images treats people.

I was seriously considering buying A CF hood from them on ebay below is the original email I sent.

RE from fibre images:

Sorry I thought you were businessman. Do you expect me to just buy something that costs $500+ with shipping whithout asking any questions?
BTW I went to your website and I will share the way you delt with me with everyone on solaraguy.com. So if you plan on selling very many solara hoods I would suggest that you answer peoples questions.

what grade is the carbone fibre hood? Did you get it from VIS? How much is shipping to 95825? Does it come with hood pins? do I need anything to make it fit on a solara? Will it be a direct fit on a 99 SLE? Is it new in the box? Has it ever been installed? Where did you get it from?

Are u sure the company's name is fibre images? Their website is JTR Sport and ebay name is carbon_creation, I don't want people to confuse it with fiber images who makes nice quality cf hoods. :)

I e-mailed carbon_creation about 2 months ago with some questions. His answers weren't very good, so I didn't want to buy the hood from them. They are retailers anyway...probably wouldn't know the answers to the technical questions.

I bought a hood from Fiber Images for my 99 SLE and was AMAZED at the excellent quality. I'm not sure you have the right site or email. Maybe that is someone who is reselling their hoods? Their web site is: http://www.fiberimages.com/ and the email address is: fiberimages@earthlink.net . Be sure you are talking about the right people before you bash them publicly. -JoeB[/url]

That is NOT Fiber Images. That is a company that distributes VIS hoods. To answer your questions. It is new in the box that is packed by VIS. It bolts right up to any 99-03 Solara but does not come with hood pins. I am not sure if anybody sells CF hoods with pins for our application. I took a big chance and purchased one from them and was a little dissappointed because there was some imperfections I felt VIS should have caught and not let the hood out the door (slight depressions in the weave in 5 areas and minor weave stretches). I can't really complain because you get what you pay for. Carbon Creations can be strange to deal with but they held up their part of the bargain. If you want the almost guaranteed assurance of a flawless hood buy from Fiber Images. It will cost you $600 though but I've heard nothing but good things and their hood can take a lot of abuse. The VIS hood will shatter in an accident.

Good products do not always = good business people. I have been having all sorts of troubles getting strait answers out of "a company that makes good products". The only problem is they expect me to call them and don’t have an 800 number, don't answer emails, and when I do call they’re just generally are never there. I am not going to name any names, because the parts they're making are top notch, they just need to hire a real CSR.
Let's just pretend I didn't grow up, or you're going to be terribly disappointed.

My intention was not to bash the company, I was just not too happy when I email them a question and their reply was "too many questions". That was my only gripe, I'm not even sure I want a CF hood any more.
