Intake help??

Postby solrchrgd » Sun Feb 15, 2004 10:59 pm

I have a 2000 Solara V6 SC. I bought a RSAkimoto intake. The intake has one fitting for the valve cover hose, one hose for the vacuum line(from under the plastic engine cover) and a opening to mount the MAS sensor. On the stock airbox there is a hose coming out the back side that is connected with a "S" shaped hose. I have no place to connect this hose on the "new" intake. There is a hose coming out the top of the new cone air filter but the hose is too short to reach the "S" shaped hose. Any suggestion or help will be greatly appreciated!!!

buy a longer hose from any autoparts store. Remove your hose and show them you need one like that but longer. I had to do that with one of my sensor hoses too. It was too short to reach the opening so I took it off and replaced with a longer one. My situation was not for your application but you need the hose were it needs to be so I don't know how else you can work around it.
