Ok I've been driving with my newly installed tires and wheels for a couple days now. I have 17x7.5 wheels, 225/45-17 tires, and I am lowered.

Every couple of minutes I will hear this weird sound from my tires when I am driving :o It almost sounds like a rubber band flexing. Anyways my rear wheels are really close to my struts. Do you guys think that they are rubbing and causing this sound? :-?

Also I haven't got my wheels aligned yet after installing them. Think this will help fix the problem too?

What kind of spring/struts do you have?

from what I know of the tires shouldnt rub... but if you havent gotten an alignment... id suggest you do one soon! Lowering, most of the time, causes camber differences.. but on our solaras it isnt much... mine was like (+/-)0.01? dont remember...

Try this out... have a couple friends hop in with you for a short ride... see if you can hear the difference...

But ultimately I think its your new tires... wut brand of tires do you have?
Retired... its been fun Image

This is too funny cause I just posted a coment about the road noise on your other thread. I hear just a regular ramp up and down sound with these tires. Kind of anoying at first but getting used to it. I also need an alignment cause ever since I installed these tires and wheels its kinda crazy. Your noise is a certain speeds? what speeds or is it once in a blue.?

Yeah I hear noice probably going over 40mph, but it's not constant. It's kinda off and on. I think the tire is rubbing a little bit on paneling of the car.
