Tech question about Projector lenses w\ 2 places for lights

I have a 99 and I know that only one headlight is used stock. Persay I found a perjector housing that would work, but has 2 places for bulbs on each housing, what would I do? Would I run the HID's all the time, then re-wire an additional plug in off the origional for a second bulb for just high beam? would this be possible?

In the 02-03, theres two seperate bulbs for hi and lo as well. Im not sure of the wiring schematic, but thats the general idea - HIDs as lo, and a regular bulb for high (probably 9006s, single filament, and I think its the brightest non-HID. Its also what you currently use as your fog lights)

Im not even sure if thats possible. They also make bixenons, which are kind of like dual filament HIDs, for hi and lo in one bulb. Then the other one could just be left empty, unless you can find something creative to do to it...

I'm just guessing on this, but ya know our headlight bulbs (H4's) have 3 wires going to it? I think 2 are hot (1 for LB 1 for HB) and one ground. I'd get a hot wire tester to find out which is which. And find out if the headlight switch is a grounding switch or a hot switch. If it's a hot switch, then you can ground your second headlight to the frame/chassis. If it's a grounding switch, then our headlight wires are always hot and grounding them would turn them on until you unplug it. You'd have to splice the new headlight's ground wire with the ground wire from your original headlight. Wish I could help you more on this, but I haven't messed around with our headlights at all yet. What kind of housings are thinking of using? From what car?
