FRONT LIP HELP

Postby PureNocence » Tue Oct 19, 2004 11:35 am

Hey all...as you know my car got banged by a DHL truck. Anyways, I got two new front valances, lips, whatevers...and the right side doesn't seem to be holding on. Looks like the 2-sided tape is not holding. Any suggestions on how to make it stay? Also, I was looking for a bracket in the front of the lip but couldn't find one..is there suppose to be one?

My lips (on the camry) didn't hold pretty well too. The install was by a toyota dealership. What i did was gutted out the lips..went to autozone, bought their 5lbs bodykit doublesided tape (the whole roll was expensive, i just bought it by certain feet, and besides, i didn't need a whole roll). and i re-did the lips/valances myseld.

As far as the front lips, there is a scew by the wheelweels' and one two inches away from the fog's housing. Those are the only two screws for the fornt, the rest is held by tape!

Edit: do make sure the lips/valances line up to the holes in the bumper...if they don't, then you got a gen 1.5 valances (same thing happened to me....then i sold them to someone here and got gen 1 valances).
