So my drivers headlight went out today, which really pissed me off, anyway, I went to autozone and the guy told me that I could use H4 or 9003 bulbs. I am just wondering 2 things really.
1 What does the car come STOCK with and
2. Which is better 9003 or H4
and obviously there is
3. The autozone guy is a dumba$$ and it only takes one,
let me know guys. Thanks peace

9003 and H4 are the same. I think H4 is the european designation, and they also use the H4 designation for motorcycles.

9003 are easier to find, but its the same thing

I am not disagreeing, but why would they make two identicle bulbs if they are both the same. So the H4 and the 9003 are exactly the same, no difference at all. If so then what did our cars come STOCK with. Later

If you do not take members' words who previously posted, then maybe you should do some research yourself, i.e. check the manual? You cant argue against the manual... Not trying to be an ass or anything... but just giving you an alternative solution

also "why would they make two identicle bulbs if they are both the same" is not a question for us, but a question for the manufacturers... obviously we have no control over that

H4 and 9003 are the same thing just different coding... Here is MORE info by doing simple searches on this forum...
Solaraguy Tech FAQs: http://www.zer0.info/solaraguy/viewtopic.php?t=1976

So Id say just make yourself happy and go buy "H4" bulbs. Those are the STOCK bulbs that came with the solaras... if they dont have those then look for "9003" bulbs... but ultimately they are the same bulbs...

Hope this helps you. BTW, since you've run into a lot of questions, i'd suggest you do your research before you post a question... many of your questions have been asked before and I think some members here are sick of the newb questions and may flame you like krzy... just a fair warning

good luck :drinking:

What does our car come stock with??

http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProduct ... mentGuide/

Sylvania (who is probably the biggest lamp manufacturer in the US if not the world) will tell you the stock bulb for any bulbs in the car.

And according to them its 9003.

ketchup = catsup
to-may-to = to-mah-to
9003 = H4

They dont make two identical bulbs that are the same...they make one bulb and package it two different ways since they are designated differently.

Im sorry I made so many people mad, it just seems that either one everytime I search I do find the same questions yet unanswered or I dont know that there is a sticky/faq with my headlight question burried deep in it. But again Im sorry about the post I was just under the impression that this is what a forum was for, I searched all over the place and like I said to begin with I knew the car could use 9003/H4 because I researched it then I called autozone to verify, I just wanted to know if some where preferring one to the other, or if one was even the slightest bit different which I still cant find. Anyway thanks for the help, I appreciate it.

P.s. I wasnt not taking your words for it I said specifically, "I am not disagreeing here" I always listen to you guys, I think you awesome and you help me alot, as I already knew that, I just thought maybe there was some needle hair difference. But its cool, I will just go put whatever is in it now. Later.
