Heres a "cool collar" thats suppose to keep the oil at a lower temperature. It goes around the oil filter to also protect it from damage. Is this a bunch of crap or is it worth the $19.99-$24.99? Thanks for any input!

what engine do you have ?

on the v6, the filter is in front, so i disbelieve it will do its "duty."

imho, phoney gimmick.

if you want to get oil temp down, get an oil cooler.

Yeah, I have a v6. Thats good to know then. Whats a good oil cooler to get for a v6 solara? Or, a better question, is it worth it to get an oil cooler? I figure it would be since the cooler the engine, the better it will run? (within reason)

imho, cooling down the coolant is the better approach.
