Hello All,

Yes, I know I told you I would be gone for a while due to matters of a personal nature but, we ( the Solara Community) really need this modification and the good folks at SuperPro have come through for us.

Please see their e-mail below from Down Under and get ready to be excited!

Some words from "Down Under"
The SuperPro bushing has been designed to reduce the amount of engine movement under load. (I.e. acceleration/deceleration.)
This part will reduce the movement by approximately 55% when compared to a new OEM rubber sample.
We have incorporated "SuperPro Turbo" style voiding which allows this improvement, without inducing excessive noise or vibration into the vehicle. Any high frequency vibration is absorbed by the turbo pattern.

As the actual dog bone arm is easily removed from the vehicle, and has to be, for the removal of the original bushing, we have designed the new part as a one-piece cotton-reel style. Although it may be a little harder to install initially, the cotton-reel style allows the features above
to be incorporated. It also, is then self-contained in the arm, (i.e. can not squash out)

A hydraulic press is required to remove the OEM part, of this same part. It can also be used to press the new SuperPro part into place. If a hydraulic press is not available... the new part can pressed into place with a large bench vice, a G-Clamp or drawn into place with a section of threaded rod and large washers.

Once sample parts are test fitted / driven and approved by Greg (Paladin06) the part number will be, SPF2706K x 1 (enough bushes in kit to complete both ends of the Dog Bone Mount) Large end of Dog Bone mount 65mm inside diameter. Greg has assured us he will test drive and report to us ASAP!

FYI - If your vehicle has, "Large end of Dog Bone mount 50mm inside diameter you need to order part number SPF1348K x 1
(again, one kit has enough bushes to complete both ends of the Dog Bone Mount)

Greg has provided the vehicles that these bushings are applicable too. If in doubt, see Greg's earlier post or contact Greg at paladin06@comcast.net.

Please contact our USA SuperPro distributor for your closest stock in your area. See their details on www.superpropoly.com.

So is this part going to be a brand new dogbone so you don't need to push out the old bushings?

Nice one Greg. Did you happen to send out the rear stock motor mount to Australia? If not, I plan to have Super Pro make one for that section too. If you did already. Thanks.

Good Day Gentlemen,

I had the opportunity to test drive my car today (no rain in sight) and I must say I'm very impressed with the prototype SuperPro dogbone bushings. These are a must have for all Solara owners. Two things are immediately noticeable:

1. There is a noticeable positive improvement in the throttle response. When I applied power I felt it immediately and with authority.

2. There is also a noticeable positive improvement in the transmission shifting under hard acceleration and normal driving conditions. This improvement can be felt when the transmissions shifts up or down. The shifting feels more firm and with authority.

I noted no indication of bushing slippage or damage after my 165 mile highway test drive!! That's more miles then I drive in two months but....
